Reinstate Aircraft Registration if Expired

We all know that your aircraft registration needs to be valid in order to be able to fly, which means that you shouldn’t let it expire. Let’s talk about the process to renew your registration and, should you need to, how to reinstate aircraft registration.

When to Renew Your Airplane Registration?

If you want to be able to continue flying, you will need to pay attention to your registration and not let it expire. You can’t really set flight if your registration is not in order, which is why it’s so important to renew it ahead of time. This way, it will once again be valid by the time the expiration date arrives. All you need to do as part of the renewal process will be to submit the corresponding form to the Federal Aviation Administration, which you can easily do so through our own platform. Here you will not only find the form in and of itself, but also the way to submit it directly to the FAA and pay the corresponding fee. We can also check it to make sure they don’t return the form back to you because of small mistakes.

What Happens if it Expires?

Of course, there will be times in which you might end up letting your registration expire. Don’t worry, that doesn’t have to be the end of the world. You can still get it back up and running easily by submitting the right form. However, this one will not be the renewal one. Why? Well, the renewal process is only meant to be for those whose registration hasn’t expired just yet. So, if the expiration date of your registration is coming up, go ahead and renew your registration while you can. Remember that even if your registration only expired a day ago, renewal will no longer be the way to go. That’s when you will have to reinstate aircraft registration.

Reinstate Aircraft Registration

If your registration expires, you will need to go through the reinstatement process. This process will be fairly similar to that of the renewal one except that it will be a little more extensive (and, well, expensive). When your registration expires, it’s essentially frozen in the Federal Aviation Administration’s registry and the reinstatement is the process by which you will thaw it out. It’s still there, it’s just not valid yet. The reinstatement form, officially known as the re-registration one, is available on our website for you to submit. All you need to provide is your contact data, information about the aircraft, and the reasons why you need to reinstate aircraft registration.
