Learn the Basics of Applying to Private Aircraft Registration with the FAA

When discussing private aircraft registration, we are talking about civilian aviation in general, which comes with a lot of regulations you need to pay attention to. Here’s what you should know.

Private Aircraft Registration

Private aircraft registration, as opposed to that for commercial aircraft, refers to airplanes owned by private entities or civilians. After all, when aircraft aren’t meant to carry commercial passengers, they are subjected to different requirements and regulations that need to be met. And so, with this in mind, let’s take a look at what the Civil Aviation Agency calls for in regards to first time registration of private aircraft and the application process that you’ll have to go through in order to get it all in order. Here at the National Aviation Center, you will be able to find everything you need to take care of this process.

First Time Aircraft Registration

In order to operate private aircraft here in the United States, it needs to be properly registered with the Federal Aviation Administration’s Civil Aviation Agency. This is one of those processes that may sound like an administrative hassle, but they’re not actually as complicated when you have access to the right tools. In fact, the form is readily available for you to fill out and submit through the National Aviation Center website. All you’ll need to do is find the registration form on our menu, fill it out with the right information about the owner and the aircraft, and provide the bill of sale. Once you provide all this data, you can simply pay for the fee and submit it through our platform.

Maintaining the Registration in Order

Of course, getting your private aircraft registration in order isn’t really the end of the story. You need to make sure that the registration remains valid going forward in order for you to be able to continue operating the aircraft. This includes a variety of different things. One one hand, for example, you need to ensure that the information attached to the registration is always accurate and up to date. This means that, should an address or phone number change at some point, you need to file for an update. This also means that you need to watch out for the expiration date and to be sure you are able to renew
