Get Your FAA Aircraft Registration Forms on Our Site

Are you looking for a new hobby that satisfies your inner sense of adventure? Has aviation long appealed to you? If so, getting your pilot’s license may afford you a new and exciting pastime. You should know, however, that pilots are in something of an elite class, and getting your certification to take to the skies on your lonesome will call for a lot of studying and training. Once you have passed your exam, however, you will have a sense of freedom that few will ever know. In order to maximize your privilege, though, you may want to consider purchasing an aircraft of your own. Once you have found that plane that suits your needs and budget, and you negotiate a fair price, you can start drawing up flight plans and mapping out your future trips. First, you will need to complete some paperwork in the form of FAA aircraft registration documents, and by working with a private service such as ours at the National Aviation Center, you can do this online with just a few clicks.

Tasked with managing and regulating United States airspace, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is one of the most important government transportation agencies. In addition to issuing pilot’s licenses, they are also in charge of air traffic control matters at airports and airfields across the country. Furthermore, the FAA maintains a comprehensive database of all of the aircraft that are owned in the United States. As a responsible airplane owner, you have a duty to both register your aircraft and apply for renewals as they arise. By knowing your way around these forms, you can ensure a smoother paperwork process, much of which you can complete online by using our easy-to-complete web forms.

How to Complete FAA Aircraft Registration Forms Online

So, you have a beautiful new aircraft sitting in your hangar. You have cleaned it, checked its maintenance schedule, and you are more than eager to take to the skies. Well, before you enter the cockpit, you are going to want to fill out what is called Form AC 8050-1 – Aircraft Registration Application. This form will ask you for your name, title, address, and signature. You will also need to fill in your plane’s make, model, and serial number. Once you have submitted this document, along with your proof of ownership, the FAA will issue your N-number, also called a tail number, which will serve to illustrate your plane’s registration.

Your initial registration will be valid for a period of three years, at which point you will need to process a renewal. The FAA will send you reminder notices both six months and eight weeks before your registration’s expiration date. This notice will include a special security code that you will need to place on your renewal application.
