When you have an airplane, you have seemingly millions of things to take care of. It’s perfectly understandable that some folks lose their aircraft registration certificate. When that occurs, you do need to get a new one. It’s important to have one on file. In our fast-paced, online, modern and cloud-based way of life, it’s easy to feel like you don’t need any actual “hard” copies of documents. It can seem like everything you need can just be downloaded again from a file server somewhere. Unfortunately, a certificate of registration does not work like this. To fly legally, you do want to have a copy of these. Fortunately, you can get one just by going to our site. Simply search for the term “replacement” on our site and you’ll find it right there. Then, all you have to do is fill in the answers and pay the fee at the bottom.
Replace Your Certificate Faster
Losing your certificate of registration can be frustrating. For many people this happens to, they want to be able to replace it as quickly as possible. We have an option that allows you to do just that. Once you’re done filling out the form, click on “rush processing” at the bottom. When you do so, we’ll put your request to the top of our queue. That means that you won’t have to go as long without your certificate of registration. The faster you get it, the faster you can return to flying high.
Replacement is Not Renewal
Some people can be a bit confused, thinking that if they just “renew” their registration, it’s the same as “replacing” it. However, they’re very different. “Replacement” covers a certificate that’s been lost, whereas “renewal” is for a certificate that’s on the verge of expiring. By that same token, if your certificate has expired, “replacement” is not an option. Replacement only covers certificates that have been lost or destroyed. When your certificate has expired, then you have to go through “de-registration.” This is an entirely different process. Simply trying to replace an expired certificate will not give you the certificate you need.
