Is your aircraft registration certificate expiration date coming up? Are you looking to submit the renewal or reinstatement forms for your aviation registration? You can find it all here.
Aircraft Registration Certificate Expiration
Like with any sort of official documentation, your aircraft registration will have an expiration date that you will need to pay attention to. That’s right, your aircraft certificate won’t last forever, and because of this, it will be important to stay on top of this. Your aircraft registration certificate expiration date will be a part of your certificate and, should it be approaching, you will need to begin the process for renewal. Here’s what that will look like.
Expiration Date Coming Soon
If you want to make sure that your registration doesn’t expire, you will have to submit the form in order to renew it. While your first instinct might be to either apply for renewal as soon as possible or to wait until the very last moment, we don’t really recommend either. If you submit it too early, you might end up having your application rejected, and if you’re late you might have to wait for weeks unable to use your aircraft while you wait for your renewal to come in. What we recommend is to wait until you are three months at most ahead of the aircraft registration certificate expiration date, and to submit them before there’s a month left in the registration. If you are within the window, you can use our platform to submit the renewal form to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Registration Certificate Expired
So, in case that your aircraft registration expiration date passed before you were able to submit the form, you need to keep in mind that you can’t really go through the renewal process anymore. Instead, you will have to file for registration reinstatement. When your registration has either expired or been deleted, the reinstatement process will bring back the registration and officially validate it again. So, if for any reason your registration did expire, this will be the way to go. You will also find this form here on our website for you to directly submit it to the Federal Aviation Administration. Remember that you can’t use your aircraft with an expired registration, so the sooner that you submit this to the Federal Aviation Administration, the sooner that you’ll be able to fly again.
