So, you have done a bit of research on loans for your aircraft purchase. You have secured a satisfactory interest rate with a lending institution and the funds are ready to be disbursed. Now, it is time to complete an AC 8050-98 and submit it to the FAA. How can you accomplish this? The traditional method would be to visit the FAA’s website and locate the aircraft security agreement form. Once you have done this, you can download the PDF file and print it out. You will then need to fill the document out in its entirety. The FAA will ask for some basic information, including:
- Your name, phone number, home and email addresses
- The name and address of the debtor
- The name and address of the assignor
- The name and address of the assignee
With all of the required information inked to the form, you can then package and mail it to the FAA’s offices in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
